On March 23, 2026, at around 6:19 PM, Deputy S. Margison pulled over a vehicle for a moving violation. When Deputy Margison made contact with the driver, identified as 35-year-old Ashley Murray from Crosby, he detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and noticed she could not sit still and was extremely fidgety. Murray was asked multiple times to exit the vehicle for a driving while intoxicated (DWI) investigation but refused to comply.
