Minnesota Day Care Aide Charged After “Nodding Off” and Falling on Child While Intoxicated

PLYMOUTH, MN — A 21-year-old day care worker is facing serious criminal charges after a disturbing incident in February that left parents and community members in shock.

Authorities say Aniya Keosongseng, an aide at the Milestones Early Learning Center, returned from her lunch break so intoxicated that her blood alcohol content (BAC) was more than four times the legal driving limit.

The details of the incident, recently released through a criminal complaint, describe a chaotic scene where what was initially reported as a “medical emergency” quickly turned into a police investigation.
