A run-of-the-mill porch theft in Kenner has exploded into what investigators say looks like a sizeable identity-fraud operation reaching across Jefferson Parish. Police say a Ring camera caught a package thief in the act, and that clip ultimately led detectives to a Gretna home where they found stolen mail, identification documents and lists packed with personal information. What started as one swiped delivery has now become an active probe into a possible identity-theft ring.
