NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A former Isidore Newman School teacher and coach faces additional charges and was re-arrested for alleged unlawful deepfakes on Wednesday, April 1.
According to the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents, Benoit G. Cransac, 49, has been re-arrested for the third time and charged with 60 counts of unlawful deepfakes. The French national was already in custody at the Orleans Justice Center.
Four months ago, on Jan. 8, Cransac’s initial arrest was for allegedly violating 22 counts of child sexual abuse material. Just 13 days later, he was re-arrested on three counts of child sexual abuse material.
His arrests continued as he was re-arrested on an additional 17 counts of video voyeurism of a child under 17 after it was discovered that he took pictures of his students inside his classroom, according to court documents…
