EDGEWOOD, N.M. (KRQE) – The Town of Edgewood is looking for a new provider for its fire and emergency services. Edgewood Town Manager Kelly Hamilton said they have been in a legal dispute with Santa Fe County, which has offered those services since 2005. The issue stemmed from how much money Edgewood paid for those services.

On Thursday, Edgewood announced it has resolved that dispute and terminated the agreement. “We are absolutely, and then people are nervous or upset, and I can understand that, but our town commission and the administration, we are absolutely not gonna let the town go without good quality fire and ambulance service,” said Hamilton.
Santa Fe County will still provide services through the end of June. Hamilton said they will now look for a replacement. KRQE News 13 reached out to Santa Fe County, but did not hear back…
