Forever Home Friday: Nevada SPCA seeks adopter for Dorothy, 9-year-old bull terrier

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A 9-year-old miniature bull terrier named Dorothy is looking for a home through the Nevada SPCA, and staff say she has plenty of energy despite being a senior dog.

Laurie Herron of the Nevada SPCA said Dorothy weighs about 20 pounds and “does have to be the only pet in the home.” Herron described her as “a bit of a diva,” but said she does not require any medication.

Dorothy has four teeth after receiving dental procedures through the Nevada SPCA’s veterinary department. Herron said Dorothy can still eat without a problem and pointed to her care as an example of the medical treatment the organization provides before animals are adopted. Herron said dental care like Dorothy received could cost about $2,000 at a private veterinarian…
