Downtown Goodyear continues to take shape with new restaurants, services, and a Pilates studio coming to GSQ, adding to the mix of places to eat, gather, and spend time as the 150-acre mixed-use development evolves. Goodyear will soon be home to Paris Baguette, Zara Nail Bar, Handel’s Ice Cream, Reformed Pilates, Berry Divine Acai Bowls, and Magdaleña.
Magdaleña will be the first of these additions to open, introducing a new restaurant concept near McDowell Road and 150th Drive. The Phoenix-based restaurant group behind Pa’La Wood-Fired Kitchen and Tortas Paquimé, TPQ Foods, anticipates opening Magdaleña in late May. The restaurant will feature a Latin American–inspired menu and a fresh take on wood-fired cooking, with premium meats, fresh seafood, and vegetable-forward dishes designed for sharing.
“We’re excited to bring something special to Goodyear,” said TPQ Foods Founder Omar Alvarez. “Everything we do we do with love and a lot of passion. I want to create at Magdaleña what you would feel when you go home – very cozy and welcoming.”
“Magdaleña is exactly the kind of unique, high-quality dining experience we envisioned bringing to GSQ,” said Globe Corp. Co-CEO George Getz. “As we continue to shape downtown Goodyear, our focus remains on creating a vibrant, walkable destination with a diverse mix of restaurants, retail and services. We excited for the community to experience Magdaleña.”…
