A former Upstate New York teacher pleaded not guilty on Thursday to a nine-count indictment charging him with raping a 17-year-old student during a relationship that allegedly took place on school property.
Drake Galarneau, 36, faces eight counts of third-degree rape and one count of endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation by the New York State Police into encounters that occurred between May and October of 2025.
