ShotSpotter Sends Cops Racing To East Baltimore Double Shooting On Hoffman Street

A Thursday night ShotSpotter alert sent officers racing to East Baltimore, where a double shooting left a 29-year-old man in critical condition and a 35-year-old woman with a graze wound, according to authorities.

Police said the alert came from the area of the 2000 block of E. Hoffman Street. Both victims later turned up at a nearby hospital for treatment.

Patrol units were dispatched around 8:27 p.m. on April 2 after the ShotSpotter system flagged gunfire on the 2000 block of E. Hoffman Street, and officers later located the injured man and woman at an area hospital, Fox45 reports.
