BROCKTON — One resident perished and two others were transported following an overnight house fire on Glendale Avenue, said Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli, State Fire Marshal Jon Davine, and Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz.
“Our hearts are with the family that lost a loved one this morning,” said Chief Nardelli. “This is a terrible tragedy for them and a sad day for our community.”
The Brockton Fire Department responded to 80 Glendale Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. following a report of a structure fire. As they approached, firefighters observed heavy fire venting through windows at the back and right of the single-family home. They learned at the scene that a resident remained inside.
