House fire displaces 2 people in Chesapeake’s Camelot neighborhood

Chesapeake Fire Department crews responded early Friday to a house fire in the Camelot section of the city.

Firefighters were dispatched at 4:09 a.m. to the 2800 block of Camelot Boulevard after multiple callers driving by reported a home on fire. Crews arrived within minutes and found flames coming from the front of a two-story house.

Firefighters deployed hose lines to extinguish the fire and discovered it extended into the attic. Crews entered the home and brought the fire under control by 4:20 a.m., according to the department…
