Early Friday on Columbus’ east side, gunfire broke the quiet along the 5800 block of Yorkland Court, where a person was shot and taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to city and law-enforcement sources. The shooting was reported before dawn, and investigators said there was no suspect information available immediately.
Police: What We Know
According to WSYX, Columbus police were called to the scene at 3:53 a.m. and found a victim with gunshot wounds to the lower body. Medics transported the person to a local hospital, where officials listed the victim in stable condition. Detectives with the Felony Assault Unit are handling the investigation.
