HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- An autopsy is scheduled for today following the death of an inmate at the Vanderburgh County Jail.
Officials identify female inmate who died in Vanderburgh County Jail
Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputies say 33-year-old Destinee Howard died late Wednesday night in one of the jail’s housing units following a medical emergency. Emergency medical personnel from the Evansville Fire Department and AMR arrived on scene to perform life-saving measures. However, resuscitation efforts were unable to revive the inmate.
Officials say Howard was arrested on Monday on charges of battery and resisting law enforcement. Deputies say their investigation is ongoing…
