SURFSIDE, SC (WMBF) – A foster-based dog rescue saw an unexpected surge in foster applications after a group of CCU sorority members attended an adoption event on Sunday.
South Paw Rescue owner Betty Budd said six college students from Coastal Carolina arrived at the end of the event and asked to foster puppies.
The group was from the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
“At the end of the event, a pile of girls came out of a car, and they said we want to foster puppies. I was like, okay, there are six of you, all of you want puppies? And they said yes, all of us,” Budd said…
