Recall expanded for portable bed rails sold on Amazon

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — More than 36,000 portable bed rails for adults are now being recalled because they pose a risk of serious injury or death.

The recall announced Thursday expands upon a previous recall of Sangohe-branded portable bed rails from January. It involves models 504E and 504Q, which can be found on the product label attached to the rail, on the box it came in, or on the first page of the instruction manual, according to the recall notice.

The bed rails were recalled because they violate safety standards. The recall notice says users can become trapped between the rail and the side of the mattress or within the rail itself.

No injuries have been reported to date…
