IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – Army veteran Howard Horan has a lifelong love of airplanes, and now he’s leading the fight to save an F-86 Sabre jet at the Iowa City Airport.
The jet has been at the airport since 1972. It honors Vietnam Prisoners of War and all veterans, including Horan and Steve Miller of Iowa City.
