The Bossier City Lions Club recognized Dr. Alicia Crooks with one of the organization’s highest honors during its March 26, 2026 meeting, awarding her the distinguished Melvin Jones Fellowship.
The award, presented by Lions Clubs International, is considered the highest form of recognition within the Lions organization and is given to individuals who demonstrate outstanding humanitarian service and dedication to their communities.
Dr. Crooks was honored for her ongoing support of the club’s eyesight initiatives, which provide critical vision services to students throughout Bossier Parish. Through her time, expertise and resources, she has helped ensure that children who may not otherwise have access to care receive eye exams and eyeglasses — services that can significantly impact their success in the classroom…
