Deputies were traveling in the 8900 block of Winkler Dr. when the suspect exited a parking lot, failing to yield the right of way and nearly striking a marked patrol vehicle. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and observed multiple indicators of intoxication from the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The driver was identified via Texas ID as Alexander Phillips. Deputies asked the suspect to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), but he refused. The suspect also refused to provide any specimen.
