Man charged for allegedly firing gun 20 times during a fight

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A man has been charged with 20 felonies after he allegedly fired a gun outside of a store during a fight.

On March 21, around 1:50 a.m., West Valley City Police Department officers responded to Charlie’s Market, at 5556 W 2455 S. A group of individuals reportedly got into a fight in the parking lot of the market. During that fight, an individual fired shots into the ground.

Police have since identified that individual as 18-year-old Manuel Ismael Torres. According to court documents, Torres approached the group involved in the fight, before firing approximately 20 shots from an AR-style rifle towards the ground near the group…
