A pre-dawn crash on Indianapolis’ south side left two people dead and two others injured early Saturday, after what police say was a two-vehicle collision in the 4900 block of South Sherman Drive near East Thompson and Shelbyville roads. The two people who died were found inside one of the vehicles, authorities said. At least one person from the second car is being detained while investigators work the scene, and two other occupants were taken to local hospitals, where they were reported awake and breathing.
