True freshmen duo have another opportunity to impress Mike Norvell and Florida State

Florida State football is heading to the practice field once again on Saturday for an opportunity to get better. The program will have to continue to showcase growth after its 5-7 disaster last season. The downside is that they will not have a spring game once again, which has frustrated the fan base.

Head coach Mike Norvell is walking on thin ice with his job security, and something needs to change quickly in Tallahassee to ensure that he stays around. Even though the administration decided to retain him for the 2026 season, it could be the nail in the coffin if things go poorly.

Norvell did acquire talent to the roster via the high school recruiting ranks and the transfer portal, which should bring life to the program. However, the fan base asks whether it is too late.
