PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH) — State police are attempting to identify a suspect who allegedly stole a cell phone from a delivery truck in a Walmart parking lot on Wednesday.
Police said a Crystal Rock delivery driver reported that their phone had been stolen while making a delivery. The driver notified his supervisor, who contacted the IT department, who were then able to ping the phone via GPS and briefly track its location.
During this time, IT workers contacted the suspect and were able to remotely access the camera to take a screenshot of the suspect before the phone was thrown into the Quinebaug River off of Kennedy Drive, police said…
