Amarillo Public Library: New digital services, events, ‘Library of Things’ launch

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Public Library is introducing a new digital reading service while also hosting several events in April, including National Poetry Month activities, the launch of a new “Library of Things,” and the first book sale of 2026.

Library officials announced PressReader, a new online service available to Amarillo Public Library cardholders. The platform provides access to more than 7,000 newspapers and magazines from around the world in multiple languages.

“Libraries are in the business of connecting people with information, so we’re always looking for new ways to do that,” said Stacy Clopton, coordinator of public relations and programming for Amarillo Public Library. “This is a great resource, and we expect it to be popular with our Amarillo Public Library patrons.”
