Boil water alert issued for nearly 500 PRVWSD customers

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A boil water notice has been issued by the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD) due to repairs to a water main in Madison County.

According to the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), 488 water connections are affected by the notice. This includes:

  • Channel Circle
  • Summit Drive
  • Channel Lane
  • Twin Harbor Place
  • Old Rice Road
  • Traceview Road
  • Trace Harbor Road
  • Harbor Road

Health officials strongly recommend that all water be boiled for one minute before it is consumed. The water system will be notified when tests show that the water is safe to drink.
