Man arrested for shooting into neighboring apartment

SHREVEPORT, La. – Shreveport police have arrested a man accused of firing a gun into a neighboring Airbnb from inside his apartment.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 2300 block of Creswell Avenue Saturday. According to police, the occupants of the Airbnb called 911 after shots were fired into the property. At the same time, the suspect also called 911, claiming someone was trying to break into his home. Officers say he later admitted to firing the gun.

Police identified the suspect as Christopher Barter. Officers contacted him and negotiated for him to come out of the apartment. He was taken into custody without incident…
