Man arrested after allegedly breaking into home, stealing shotgun and pellet pistol while high

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A man has been arrested after he allegedly kicked down the door of a Salt Lake City residence and stole two weapons from the home while under the influence of methamphetamine.

Brad Donyell Johnson, 39, was arrested for aggravated burglary (first-degree felony), aggravated assault (third-degree felony), possession of a controlled substance (third-degree felony), prohibited dangerous weapon conduct (third-degree felony), interfering with a peace officer (class B misdemeanor), and unlawfully possessing an id of another person (class A misdemeanor).

According to court documents, the victim arrived home on Friday to find a man, later identified as Johnson, inside of his Salt Lake City residence. The victim reportedly told police that he does not know Johnson, nor did Johnson have permission to be inside of his home. The victim added that he witnessed Johnson exit the home with a shotgun in one hand and a pistol in the other hand…
