BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A person was hospitalized with moderate to major injuries following a shooting in East Bakersfield Saturday evening, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The BPD said officers responded to the 800 block of East California Avenue around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of gunfire.
When they arrived, they found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim had moderate to major injuries, and was taken to the hospital.
