LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala — Fire rescue officials say a child is in critical condition at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham following a drowning call late Sunday afternoon in the Kitchens Mill / Five Points community, east of Moulton.
Crews from Speake Fire & Rescue District and Greg’s Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene — along County Road 72 — at approximately 5:15 PM. First responders arrived within minutes, and Speake Fire EMS personnel immediately began advanced life support measures upon finding the child in cardiac arrest.
