High school student works to bring financial literacy books to Virginia schools

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A senior at Monticello High School is working to improve financial literacy for the next generation of students, in a fundraiser to bring financial literacy books onto school bookshelves across the Commonwealth.

“If we put all of these books in schools and all these kids, they learn, they grow, I think that’s, that’s so important,” said Maximilian Kofler, a senior at Monticello High School.

After noticing a lack of resources surrounding personal finance, Kofler said he had the idea to work to get more books of that nature into schools…
