GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -Those at Gainesville Community Ministries are now working under a new roof, after years of operating under a crumbling one estimated to be more than 50 years old.
“They started right away, so within a week to two weeks, we were completely done,” Michael Wright, the executive director of GCM, stated.
“It was an old-fashioned flat roof, which means water ponds on the top like a lake, and so as it begins to crack and deteriorate, it starts seeping into the inside, so with the beginning of rainstorms coming to Gainesville, we started having flooding inside the building.”…
