KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Easter Sunday is a day people across the nation spend time with loved ones — often at church. One Knoxville native spent his afternoon feeding the unhoused in the city’s mission district.
“It’s important to give back because life is just bigger than me,” Coogie Pearson, the community meal organizer, said. “I tell people God loves a man in a suit just as much as he loves a man on the corner.”
