MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Montgomery County Office of Animal Services announced a pet food pantry for area residents at two locations.
Officials said that the pantry is for anyone in need of pet food or supplies.
“We’re here to make sure no pet in our community goes hungry,” said the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC) in a post.

A pantry will be open at the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church at 12701 Veirs Mill Rd. in Rockville, Md., from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on the following dates:
- April 18
- May 2
- May 16
- May 30
- June 13
- June 27
There will also be a pantry at MCASAC at 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd. in Derwood, Md., on the following dates and times:
- April 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
- April 26 from 9 to 10 a.m.
- May 10 from 9 to 10 a.m.
- May 20 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
- June 3 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
- June 21 from 9 to 10 a.m.
The pantry is taking donations as well — organizers said that they are welcoming donations of small, unopened bags of pet food. You can drop these donations off at the shelter — if it is closed, you can leave donations by the front door…
