A 33-year-old man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is facing serious charges after allegedly threatening to fatally shoot his parents and engaging in a 14-hour standoff with law enforcement. The standoff, which ended with Lee’s surrender, has raised concerns about the severity of the situation, which involved multiple firearms and threats to law enforcement and his family.
The Threats and Barricade
The incident unfolded on the night of March 27 and into the following day, March 28, when Vance Lee allegedly threatened to kill his parents. According to a criminal complaint obtained by WITI, Lee walked through his parents’ home with a rifle and handgun, making threats of violence.
One of the most chilling statements he made was during a phone call to his brother, where he allegedly said, “We are all dying today.”
The parents, fearing for their lives, stayed in their bedroom, where they reported that Lee warned he would “kill everyone and hide in the basement ready for anything if police arrived.” Authorities were informed that the parents still loved their son but could no longer tolerate his escalating threats.
