Cougars upset No. 22 Winona State in series split

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The University of Sioux Falls softball team earned a split against No. 22 Winona State today at the RCTC Dome, taking game one 6-2 before falling in game two 7-0.

The Cougars delivered a strong performance in the opener behind timely hitting and another complete-game effort from Maddi Duncan, but Winona State responded in game two with a dominant pitching performance to secure the split. Sioux Falls moves to 20-17 overall and 8-4 in NSIC play.
