Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — An argument on Bluff Avenue in Schenectady escalated into gunfire Sunday, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old Dashawn Weldon from Schenectady, police said.
The Schenectady Police Department said officers responded to a report of shots fired April 5, 2026, around 11:44 a.m. in the area of 617 Bluff Ave. Police determined an argument happened between the individuals. During the dispute, one person pulled out a gun and fired a single shot in the direction of the victim. The victim was not hit or injured.
