Bike-riding camp for individuals with disabilities coming to Charlottesville

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – iCan Bike, a camp working to teach individuals with disabilities how to ride a bike, is coming to Charlottesville this summer.

“It is beautiful because it meets the kids where they are,” said Heather Russell, a physical therapist and volunteer with iCan Bike. ”Individuals with autism or Down Syndrome, they tend to be really successful with visuals and first-then or token systems, timers, things like that — and this camp brings all of that with them.”
