EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The Tri-State Food Bank is expanding access to food assistance across the region this month, announcing seven mobile food distributions scheduled throughout April in Indiana and Illinois.
The organization says its mobile pantry truck will deliver boxes of shelf-stable groceries to residents in need, with no identification required to receive assistance. Attendees will be asked to provide their zip code and the number of people in their household. Each distribution is planned to last approximately two hours, or until supplies run out.
The April distribution schedule includes:
- April 7 at Dorothy Miller Park in Metropolis beginning at 10 a.m.
- April 10 at Bedord Collab in Evansville at 9 a.m.
- April 17 at Bosse Field at 9 a.m.
- April 28 at Carriage House Apartments in Evansville at 10 a.m. (walk-up event)
- April 29 at Memorial Baptist Church at 10 a.m. (walk-up event)
- April 29 at The Master’s Hands in Olney at 10 a.m.
- April 30 at Bethany Apostolic Church at 10 a.m.
Officials noted that the Evansville distributions at Memorial Baptist Church and Carriage House Apartments will be walk-up only, while other locations are expected to accommodate drive-through traffic…
