INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD says a man was killed in a shooting Saturday afternoon on the west side of Indianapolis.
According to IMPD, just after 3 p.m. on April 4, dispatchers received numerous 911 calls about shots fired in both the 800 block of South Lynhurst Drive and the 800 block of Manhattan Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, an additional 911 caller reported a person had been shot in a nearby alleyway.
Officers eventually found the victim, identified as an adult male, and he was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. However, police say he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
