Get Moving with the Mobile Library is an interactive outdoor literacy program designed for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade and their families. The program encourages participants to explore local trails while connecting movement, nature, and reading.
Planned Activities
- Guided Nature Hike
- A family-friendly guided walk along one of Audubon Park’s accessible trails.
- Nature Scavenger Hunt
- Participants will search for seasonal signs of spring—plants, wildlife, textures, and colors—to promote observation skills and engagement with the natural environment.
- Storytime on the Trail
- A themed story shared at a scenic stopping point to connect literacy with the outdoor experience.
- Mobile Library Craft & Activity
- After returning to the trailhead, families will gather at the Mobile Library for a spring-themed craft/hands-on activity
