Former Coronado Mayor, Richard Bailey, is leading the Balboa Park Free Parking Restoration Act to remove paid parking.
Over the weekend, volunteers fanned out in the park to gather signatures for a citizen-led initiative that would repeal parking fees for all visitors. Eighty-thousand signatures from registered city of San Diego voters are needed to get the initiative on the November ballot.
If at least 24-thousand signatures are collected, the San Diego City Council would be required to consider the measure within 10-days…
