Florida property manager on the run accused of HOA embezzlement for trips, plastic surgery

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A trusted property manager is now on the run after investigators say she siphoned hundreds of thousands of dollars from Martin County homeowners’ associations to bankroll a lavish personal lifestyle.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant on Monday for the former property management bookkeeper, according to investigators.

Authorities say Alexandra Delacaridad Gonzalez, who worked as a property manager and bookkeeper for Avant-Garde Property Management, is facing a long list of felony charges tied to an alleged embezzlement scheme that spanned an extended period of time. Gonzalez is wanted on two counts of fraud exceeding $50,000, two counts of grand theft, 61 counts of uttering false instruments, and 59 counts of embezzlement. Her total bond has been set at $1.35 million
