Former Phillie and dugout beer loving Nick Castellanos hasn’t yet remembered how to hit in San Diego (.188, 0 HR, 3 hits in 16 at bats on the year) but at least he can point to a home run in the real estate market.
The Philadelphia Business Journal reported over the weekend that the Castellanos family sold their home in Moorestown for $4.89 million, up from the $4.55 million the family purchased it for in 2022, making it the highest home sale in the South Jersey township in the last decade.
The Old Castellanos Place (some say it’s cursed) was of course also previously owned by 76ers legend Ben Simmons. Castellanos? Simmons? Not exactly a murderers row of beloved Philadelphia athletes. Seems to me that anyone looking to make a name for themselves in this city should probably steer clear…
