Woman seriously injured, baby OK after rollover crash in Genesee County, police say

Bergen, N.Y. — New York State Police said a woman was seriously injured after a rollover crash Monday in Genesee County, while a child under age 1 who was pulled from the vehicle was not injured.

Police said the woman was driving east on Townline Road in Bergen when her vehicle went off the north side of the road, struck a pole and a fire hydrant, rolled end over end and landed in a field near Pocock Road, across from Byron-Bergen High School.

The driver, a woman in her early 20s, may have had a medical issued that led to the crash, according to police. She was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Farmers who heard the crash pulled the baby from the vehicle. Police said she was handed over to family and is OK…
