EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The woman who was punched in the face by an El Paso police officer during an arrest had a warrant for her after a dispute between her roommate and the roommate’s boyfriend earlier that week, according to court documents obtained by KTSM.

As KTSM previously reported, a viral video on social media was posted on Friday, April 3, showing a chaotic arrest between two El Paso police officers and a woman. During the struggle, one of the officers punched the woman in the face.
Prior to the punch, the officers told the woman that she had a warrant for her arrest.
