Lincoln man set home on fire in attempt to defraud insurance company, police allege

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man was arrested Friday after being accused of setting his home on fire in an attempt to defraud his insurance company.

On Nov. 2, 2025, Lincoln Fire and Recue was called to a two-alarm fire at a home near 25th and L streets around 1:47 p.m. According to court documents, the home was uninhabitable after the fire was put out.
