Search is on for St. Bernard Parish double murder suspect

ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a double murder investigation.

Around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, deputies were called to the scene of a disturbance in the 2200 block of Centanni Drive, where they found two women suffering from gunshot wounds.

The women were taken to a hospital, where they later died from their injuries.

Through investigation, Criminal Investigations Bureau detectives said they identified family member 22-year-old Lee Collins III, as a suspect.

According to Sheriff James Pohlmann, Collin was allegedly involved in an argument with his mother 55-year-old Trenelle Collins and grandmother 75-year-old Mary Major. Following the disagreement he reportedly went to his room but later came out with a gun and began shooting, according to Pohlmann…
