LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (CBS12) — Concerned parents, educators, and community leaders are scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday afternoon near Saddle View Elementary School to oppose a proposed hyperscale artificial intelligence data center known as Project Tango.
The event will take place at 3:30 p.m., Monday, April 6, near the school along Canefield Trace in Loxahatchee. Organizers say the goal is to raise awareness and urge local officials to reject the project due to concerns about its proximity to schools and residential neighborhoods.
“This is about protecting our schools, the children who learn in them, and their families and neighborhoods,” said Gordan Longhofer, President of the Palm Beach County Classroom Teachers Association. “We must ensure that decisions on facilities of this type prioritize the health, safety, and educational environment of our students above all else.”…
