Warehouse 505 could get $300,000 in city funding despite proposed tight budget

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque youth nonprofit could be getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from the city, despite the mayor’s proposed tight budget. Warehouse 505 says many non-profits are feeling the financial squeeze of scarce grant opportunities and funding cuts.

Which is why they are grateful to the city for working to continue to invest in their program. A program, Warehouse 505 says, has been transformative for many teens across the metro.

“Willow joined the DJ program when she was so small that she couldn’t even reach the DJ control board,” said Robert Stokowy, Executive Director, Warehouse 505. Now, Willow owns her own DJ business, performing in front of crowds.
