Boats and dock catch fire at Goble Marina on Columbia River

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wash. — Multiple fire agencies responded Sunday afternoon to a fire involving two large vessels and a dock at Goble Marina on the Columbia River, according to the Vancouver Fire Department and Columbia River Fire & Rescue.

The fire was reported at approximately 12:27 p.m. Sunday at 70360 Columbia River Highway, identified as Goble Marina, the Vancouver Fire Department said in a press release. Clark-Cowlitz Fire and Rescue requested mutual aid from Vancouver Fire in response to the blaze, according to the press release.

Columbia River Fire & Rescue crews arrived to find an approximately 65-foot vessel and a 35-foot sailboat heavily involved in fire, the agency said. The two boats were tied to a floating anchored dock approximately 50 feet from shore, according to Columbia River Fire & Rescue.
