RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The City of Reno, as well as other local agencies, is organizing a fundraiser to rebuild the Sierra Vista Park shelter after it was burned to the ground in an arson.
The city is looking to raise $250,000 to rebuild the shelter, which was destroyed in November of 2024.
The shelter had been used by families, hikers, mountain bikers, and as a central gathering for outdoor recreation. Once funded, the new shelter will feature a steel frame, fire-resistant roofing, and a concrete foundation…
